The plain-English version.
We're a volunteer parent board raising money for one night. We collect as little as we can, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.

The short version
- The only personal information we get is what you type into a form on this site.
- It goes to the board's email inbox and nowhere else. We never sell, rent, or trade it.
- We count page views with our own software. No Google Analytics, no ad trackers, no Facebook pixel.
- Donations happen on Venmo's or PayPal's site — we never see your card or bank details.
- Email madridafterprom@gmail.com and we'll delete your information.
What we collect
When you fill out a form
Four forms on this site — sponsor inquiry, Junior Advisory Group signup, volunteer signup, and contact — send us what you type: your name, email address, phone number (if the form asks for it), your business name on the sponsor form, and any message you write. Nothing is pre-filled and nothing is collected from you in the background.
When you just read the site
We keep our own simple count of which pages get visited and which buttons get clicked, so the board knows whether the QR codes on the concession signs are working. That record includes the pages you viewed, the site that sent you here, your browser and device type, and any utm_source tag from a link or QR code. Your IP address is masked before it's stored, and we do not look up your location.
Board logins
Board members have password-protected accounts for the admin area. Those are the only accounts on this site; the public side has no signup and no login.
How we use it
- To answer you, follow up on a sponsorship, or tell a student or volunteer when and where to show up.
- To send a thank-you and, for donations, the acknowledgment letter you need for taxes.
- To see which fundraisers and printed signs actually bring people to the site.
We don't send marketing email, we don't run ads, and we don't build profiles of anyone.
Who sees it
Members of the Madrid After Prom board. That's it. Form submissions arrive at madridafterprom@gmail.com and are stored in the site's admin area, which requires a board login.
We never sell, rent, or trade your information, and we don't share it with advertisers or data brokers. The only outside companies involved are the ones that run the site for us — our web host, our email provider, and the payment services below — and they only handle your information to keep the site working. We would share information with law enforcement only if we were legally required to.
Students under 18
The Junior Advisory Group form is for Madrid High School juniors, so we know some of the people filling it out are minors. We ask for a name, cell phone number, and email address, and we use them for exactly one thing: telling that student about Advisory Group meetings and After Prom planning. We don't share student information with anyone outside the board, and we don't use it for anything else.
This site is not directed to children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect information from them. Parents and guardians: email madridafterprom@gmail.com and we'll show you what we have for your student or delete it, no questions asked.
Donations
Our Venmo and PayPal buttons hand you off to Venmo and PayPal. Your payment details go to them, not to us — we never see or store a card number or bank account. What they do with your information is covered by their own privacy policies. We see the donor name and amount they report to us, which we use for thank-yous and our own records. If you'd rather not appear anywhere publicly, just say so and we'll list your gift as anonymous.
How long we keep it
Form submissions are automatically deleted 2 years after they're sent. Site analytics are automatically deleted after 25 months. Those deletions run on their own every night — nobody has to remember to do it. Email we've replied to may live longer in the board's inbox, and donation records are kept as long as our nonprofit bookkeeping requires.
Your choices
Email madridafterprom@gmail.com and we will tell you what we have about you, correct it, or delete it. We aren't going to make you prove a statutory right applies to you — just ask.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS, form data is stored in a password-protected database, and only board members with their own logins can read submissions. No website is perfectly secure, so please don't send us anything sensitive — a Social Security number, a bank account, a password — through a form on this site. We will never ask you for any of those.
Terms of use
By using madridafterprom.com you're agreeing to these, which are short on purpose.
The information here
We keep this site as accurate as we can, but dates, times, venues, and details change — especially early in the season. Anything marked "TBD" or shown in brackets isn't confirmed yet. Nothing on this site is a contract, and the board may update or correct any of it at any time.
Donations
Madrid After Prom is a program of Anti-Substance, Support, Information, Service, Team (ASSIST), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit; tax ID 46-5117304. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows, and they're used to put on After Prom and the fundraisers that pay for it. Gifts are generally final, but if you gave by mistake or entered the wrong amount, email madridafterprom@gmail.com and we'll make it right.
Our content
The text, photos, and design on this site belong to ASSIST or the people who made them for us. The Madrid High School tiger and school marks belong to the Madrid Community School District. You're welcome to share our pages and links — please do — but don't copy our content for commercial use or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse something we don't.
Using the site
Please don't submit anything false or abusive through our forms, try to break into the admin area, scrape the site, or use it to send spam. We may remove submissions or block access if that happens.
Links to other sites
We link to Venmo, PayPal, Facebook, and our sponsors. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
No warranty
This site is provided as-is by a volunteer board. We can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and to the extent the law allows, ASSIST and its volunteers aren't liable for losses arising from your use of it. These terms are governed by Iowa law.
Changes and questions
If we change how any of this works, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Questions, corrections, or a deletion request all go to the same place:
